DON CANNALTE
Don Cannalte, founder and President of Colorado Notebook LLC, has more than 45 years of experience in the public relations profession. Mr. Cannalte currently serves as a public relations/media relations consultant to the health care industry, higher education institutions and non-profit organizations.
Prior to 1997 when he started his own company, Mr. Cannalte worked for 17 years with the University of Colorado. During his tenure he served on the President's staff as Director of University Relations for the university’s four-campus system and as Director of Regional Communications for the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
Prior to joining the university, Mr. Cannalte spent 21 years with United Airlines in various corporate communications managerial positions. When Mr. Cannalte left United Airlines he was the Director of Corporate Communications for the Western Division, a geographic area that extended from Colorado to Hawaii and Alaska.
Mr. Cannalte has been active in the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) at the chapter and national level since 1980. He was elected to PRSA's College of Fellows, the Society's highest recognition, in 1994. In September 1997, the Colorado chapter awarded him the Swede Johnson Lifetime Achievement Award.
CLAIRE v.S. BROCKBANK
Ms. Brockbank is a principal and founder of Segue Consulting, a health care business development and strategic positioning consulting firm. Segue Consulting, profitable since its inception, has a ten-year history of helping international, national, and local clients revamp their business strategies to better align themselves with the changing marketplace.
Ms. Brockbank has extensive experience with start-ups and new product launches. As a member of the senior management team for C3Med, an application aggregator for the physician’s desktop, Ms. Brockbank participated in successfully obtaining seed capital and first round funding, as well as exceeding all milestones for this start-up company. Ms. Brockbank was also the lead person in designing and implementing the nation’s first private healthcare purchasing cooperative. The product was launched ahead of schedule (within 12 months), under budget, and exceeded all marketing enrollment projections.
Ms. Brockbank received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and a Masters from Harvard University.
WYNN MARTENS
Wynn Martens, co-founder of Colorado Notebook LLC, has more than 12 years of public relations and communications experience, with a particular focus on community relations for nonprofit organizations. Ms. Martens currently operates her own consulting firm, Wynn Martens Community Relations, and is providing consulting outreach services to the CU-Boulder Continuing Education Department.
Ms. Martens’ Colorado communications experience includes managing community relations and outreach programs for the City of Boulder, the Denver Art Museum and the University of Colorado at Boulder. While serving as Director of Community Relations at CU-Boulder, Ms. Martens created a statewide community educational program, CU in Residence, which brought life-long learning and education programs from the university out to isolated, rural communities throughout the year and throughout the state. She also spearheaded the creation of a unique educational website, CU4k12, to make available university resources, educational materials and curriculum support to teachers at the elementary, middle and high school level.
PETER SCHULTHEISS
Peter Schultheiss is currently a principal with Myriad Interactive, a virtual new media agency built upon a network of independent artists and programmers. The company specializes in graphic design, multimedia presentations, web development, and online marketing.
Peter Schultheiss has been working as a web developer and technical consultant for over eight years. Well versed in several programming languages, Schultheiss specializes in coding highly-customized applications used for e-commerce, content management and administration. He adheres to meticulous coding practices and builds each project from scratch using nothing more than a simple text editor.
Mr. Schultheiss' affinity for problem solving stems from his bachelor's degree from Colgate University where he studied Mathematical Economics and Computer Science. His experience includes work for small businesses as well as enterprise level companies such Agilent Technologies, Nokia and Sun Microsystems.
ANNE S. LADD
Anne Ladd is the President and founder of Propel Product Management Inc., a product strategy and development firm specializing in database and health care products. Her client list includes national, regional and local health care insurers and delivery systems as well as health care information technology and other high-tech companies.
Ms. Ladd’s varied background includes several successful product launches and turn-arounds. Before entering the health care arena Ms. Ladd spent six years as a reporter and writer for both broadcast and print media.
GRACE LINN
Grace Linn, president of Creative Media Solutions (CMS), has provided media outreach and design services in the health care arena for more than 20 years. She spent 10 years as Director of Health Communications for Tri-County Health Department, the largest local health agency in Colorado. Ms. Linn’s division was responsible for graphic design, media relations and curriculum development and education for Tri-County staff and the general public. Since then, she has provided consulting services to a broad range of public health agencies and non-profit organizations throughout Colorado. She recently led her team to win three Gold Leaf Awards from Colorado Healthcare Communicators.
DEBBIE PEEBLES
With almost 20 years in information technology, Ms.Peebles has a wide variety of skills and knowledge. Ms. Peebles has been a technical writer for a software company considered the premiere provider of health care information for over seven years. She single-handedly creates and maintains the online help, user guides, and hard copy instructions for more than six products. Prior to taking on writing and documentation responsibilities at this company, Ms. Peebles led a quality assurance team responsible for testing products in multiple languages on numerous hardware platforms. Ms. Peebles is responsible for quality control and systems testing for Colorado Notebook.
Before moving into the health care arena, Ms. Peebles worked all across the United States and in many foreign countries as a software consultant/trainer for a radio/television/broadcast software company.
